Knowing how to be a good photorapher is really an art form.  It isn’t just about pointing a camera and clicking it to take a picture.It goes beyond that.It demands talent just like any field of importance.Some people are just naturally gifted as photographers.  While others can be developed.The key point is understanding what is a good photograph and which photographs are not.In this article what I am going to share are a couple of tips you can use to help you take great shots whenever they come up.

Another tip I learned from being  a San Diego photographer is understanding human emotion.You can find yourself taking candid shots of people.  Or you could be taking photos of weddings. It makes no difference.All that really matters is that you have a grasp of the subject with all the emotions that is happening to them.If you do you will be prepared to capture some great emotions on film.

And finally as a great photographer, you need to have great anticipation.  This is especially helpful for doing work like in my San Diego event photography business.Because in most major events there is plenty that is happening all around.  By being able to anticipate the action photos you might miss you are able to catch.

So there you go on some great ways that you can know will be fantastic shots.it is really a very mental process instead of technical and with it will come great photos.  And more captivating then just technical shots.

Finding a photographer is one of the things that people need to do for their wedding.Sometimes, people underestimate this job.But this job that they have to do is an important one because this would determine if the photos of the wedding would be good or not.Jobs like organizing the reception or picking what flowers to use during the wedding are important.Bt those would soon be forgotten once the event is over.  What won’t be forgotten is the pictures that are taken.In fact those pictures are the things that would remind the people of that special day.  Because of that we are going to look at making sure you pick the right one.

First of all as a San Diego wedding photographer these tips are coming from experience.  Since my job consists of people hiring I know what people should be looking for.The budget is what people should consider first.  In other words if they have a lot of money, pick the best money can buy.  It is an important day so entrust it only with the best.But if you have issues regarding the budget then you should look at other considerations.

If money is an issue you should look at the prices and get the best one that you can afford and with the best return.  As a San Diego event photography service I give good deals all the time.It all depends on the wants and needs of the soon-to-be married couple.  So if the couple understands what they want they can sort of work with the photographer to come to a decent rate.

Experience is another factor that you should consider.  A lot of times you don’t just want experience in weddings.An experienced photographer for any event is what you should look for.  As a San Diego commercial photographer I always like to point out my experience in other fields.  This shows my wide variety of styles and skills.

Of course this is coming from my experience as a San Diego wedding photographer.So I have had the experience of dealing with couples who are on a tight budget.But I also encountered some who have limitless budget.Naturally, you would not get an expensive photographer if you are on a limited budget.A couple can’t do anything if that would be the case.They can’t do much regarding their spending.But if they just go around and interview photographers then they might have achance that they would get a good one.All they have to do is look around for photographers.

Now of course if a couple isn’t limited on budget then they should find the best that money can buy.Why should they go and look for the best?  Because the wedding is one of the most important days. Don’t go cheap on someone who you are trusting to capture that moment forever.  I have had many people tell me they regretted not going with my San Diego photographer business because of price.The main reason for this is because they were not satisified with the quality that they got from their photographer.

After determining your budget then it is time to look for prospects and talk to them. It is like any job.Would you just hire someone to be your employee if, for example, you own a business?Of course your answer would be no and definitely you should also not do this when looking for a photographer.You would want to know if you are compatible personality wise.You should also look at their work.  And from my experience as an event photographer San Diego, you want to see how much experience they have dealing with weddings. If you do a round of interviews you will definitely find the photographer you are looking for.

When you are asked to be the one to take photos of the wedding is a huge responsibility.If you’ve been approached to do it as a friend, or maybe asked to do it as a professional, here are 5 great tips to do the job right.

This tips are coming from first hand experience as a San Diego wedding photographer.  So whether you are seasoned pro, or a rank amateur, if you follow these tips, you will feel comfortable and not have to second guess yourself.  You will be fully prepared for whatever may come.

Our first tip is easy and that is to have the couple and maybe their families make a list of photos they want to take.When you know the day will be hectic and chaotic, doing this will help you get the family and group shots later on in the day more smoothly.  You will love it and when you can just go down the list and get everything without leaving anything out by accident.

The second tip on our list is to not delete any shots.  In this day and age of digital cameras, most photographers use them.Great as they are, they might tempt you to delete a shot they may like that you don’t since it is so easy to do.Don’t even think of looking at the shots.What you think may be a great photo, can differ widely in what the couple considers a great photo.  And who knows, they might appreciate the so called un “professional” shots.

For the the third tip, make sure you get candid shots during and after the wedding.A good wedding photographer doesn’t look to just take your typical shots, like group shots, or wedding shots or your standard newly married shots.  But they will also try and capture the emotions of the day through the shots of all the people that were there.It may include the things that go wrong also, like a flower girl making a wrong turn or the ring bearer not wanting to walk down the aisle.Every picture counts.

The fourth tip is which is often overlooked is to make sure you have several cameras and other equipment as backup.Do you even want to think of a moment like that of not having a working camera halfway through the wedding.Be prepared for anything that can go wrong.Being prepared with more equipment will ensure that you avoid that awkward moment of not being able to finish the rest of the day because of a broken camera.

Finally, practice your lighting as well. The difference between the lighting in the church and the outside reception can throw you a curve ball, so just practice for all different lighting situations. Go see the locations and scout it out for the big day, by finding the best places to shoot as well as studying the lighting needs.
